Alle aussteigen!

As the Dow heads cheerily in the direction of 9,000, some may consider this an opportunity to get off if they missed the stop last time round.

Or have the wise actions of our leaders solved all?

How does one depart this earth in a non-death way?

Elijah managed it, and so did another in the OT, I seem to recall. But this is only investment, James; maybe the coming retrenchment will be the (re)making of us.

I am beginning to suspect (fear) that the masses are tired of recession and ready to buy into the idea that the leaders have solved all. And all it takes to stage a recovery is to restore confidence among those who still have jobs and assets. Except that the ghost is still in the machine, and no amount of "I'm okay, the Economy's okay" thinking will change that. The only way out is through the pain and the muck and flushing the garbage out of the system, like turning the soil to lay fresh crops. The deadwood will remain a drain until we clear it.

Anonymous - How about my father-in-law's suggestion: Pay-per-view executions of the top investment executives?
