"The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" a film that takes me back to the time when I would travel to the Regent Street Cinema ( the oldest cinema ?) in the country to see avant garde film, some were good, or so we convinced ourselves and some were , well, over our heads, but golden days and the Polytechnic next door was a place of education and more unlike the Westminster University it has sadly become. Sorry to go of piste JD, but the title brought all those memories back.
