I hear via Classic FM that Disneyworld Florida have twinned with Swindon. Would that be because the Council takes the mickey and the inhabitants are goofy?
I was in Swindon for a Wednesday afternoon in 1969, in the course of which we saw 1 car moving, and a grand total of 3 people, all in a cafe. The most utterly dull and depressing town that I have ever seen.
