Clif Droke (SafeHaven, yesterday) summarises Edward Cheung's work, which relates the Kondratieff cycle to demographics. The most spoiled generation in history is entering its retirement phase and starting to draw on its accumulated wealth, so creating a growing undertow in the financial tide.

I suppose that China is the only country on that plot that might solve the problem just by bumping off the codgers.

DM: the British Government seems to have an agenda for "euthanasia". Perhaps, one day, long-term dependence on UK State-provided benefits will be classified as a profound and irreversible disability, dot dot dot.
