SUNDAY SMILE: A quick shag

(pic source: Wikipedia)

FACT: In flight, the cormorant manages about 33.5 mph over long distances:

'Cormorants have a flapping flight style which enables them to achieve medium speeds for birds – 54km/h has been measured over long distances. The length of individual, unbroken flights has not been studied in detail, but distances of several hundred kilometers are possible.'

NOT A FACT:

'The Common Cormorant or shag
Lays eggs inside a paper bag...'

Cormorant and shag are closely related but different species.
I am informed that over half the world's shags are in British Isles. Something to be proud of? Maybe not.
So up yours, Kermits.

Ha Ha Ha, Paddington!

When I used to smoke a pipe, the tobacco of choice was 'Gold Block', and quite expensive too!

A chum used to call it 'Millionaire's Shag'!

@Doonhamer: I didn't know that. Bit like the Oozelum and its relative the Winky-Wanky?

@Paddington: You've got to catch it first.

You should have titled the article as "Sunday Smirk." I was expecting to see two people smoking a cigarette in bed. Nice triple pun.

@Jim: very good; presumably the prophylactic would count as a filter tip?
