President Biden makes an appearance!

Rumours of President Biden's alleged cognitive difficulties were quelled as POTUS made a public appearance earlier today in order to sign another thirty Executive Orders, which he proceeded to do rapidly and with a flourish, not even pausing to read them.

The full face covering and gloves were appropriate protection against coronavirus, explained Mr Biden, pointing up the recklessness of certain States that have recently chosen to relax rules designed to protect the citizenry.

In answer to a journalist's query about his health, the President said "He's just - I mean I'm just fine. In fact I've grown a couple inches, as you can see."

America can relax: the nation is in safe, strong hands.

If I could give one piece of advice to good old Joe; it would be this: Mr. President, be sure to take extra care at the top of any staircase if your VP is in the vicinity.

Is there a particular reason why you attack the current President, and not his predecessor, who seemed incapable of completing a sentence?

Lest you think that I am spouting rubbish, here is part of a campaign speech from 2016:

“Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible.”

Most don't get the Pun. A picture of the "Invisible Man" and claiming its Biden. You have to read between the lines. The sunglasses are a match!

Its funny and it isn't the least bit political as one of the other commenters suggested

@P, Jim: it's in the good old British tradition of 'taking the piss.'

I think in Biden's case it is a matter of keeping his mouth shut and everyone thinking he may be an idiot rather than saying something and removing all doubt.

Of course you are taking the piss. Notably, you did not do so with Biden's predecessor, who had some very choice moments, including proposing that we inject bleach and light to cure Covid, and who apparently believed that stealth aircraft are actually invisible.

@Paddngton The hatred you have is very noticeable. I suggest that Mr Sackerson delete your comments. I usually dump comments like this on my blog, they never stop until you do.

I might add, that the reason I started my blog, was because the my comments on other blogs were hidden forever. You are one to one with us, but it goes no further. figure it out, you have no audience even if you say something brilliant, it is stuck in the comments section never to be read again.

@P: I didn't know enough about Trump to take the piss, but I felt that although very flawed he had a grasp of a fundamental problem for working Americans and was prepared to do something in a way that neither R nor D before him were going to. Perhaps I was mistaken.

This particular post is about wondering how a man in the early stages of dementia nevertheless has such a huge program to push through with executive orders galore. Should he have made his State of the Nation address in person?

@Jim: I don't do censorship.
