He was the ball on top, but it was the force of the water beneath him that kept him there. This post is 99% somebody else's writing, but it's interesting to see that others also note the applicability to Blair of its comments about Murdoch. Maybe that's why the two of them hit it off when Blair flew out to see him before his election campaign.Sackersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09410040031410954403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5524682876220396502.post-4736191485822099172008-12-02T13:43:00.000+00:002008-12-02T13:43:00.000+00:00So it is as I suspected. No big surprise that all three are together again now, minus Blair.

Blair, of course, had no obvious talent for anything, based on his early years before NuLabour. Presumably he was actually hand-picked by the big-three to proffer a more acceptable front to the public.

Where does that leave Granita? Was it really a means of kicking Brown into touch for ten years so he wouldn't cause any trouble - or was it merely an admission that the Blair facade was necessary to the NuLabour project?

Can we now attribuite specific "Blairite" policies to each of the big three now that we know that Blair was nothing more than the PR frontman?

Did Blair really decide that 10 years in power was enough? Or was he simply discarded by the big 3 as his power to charm faded?

Are we bovvered?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5524682876220396502.post-84602779958002092642008-12-02T12:50:00.000+00:002008-12-02T12:50:00.000+00:00(apologies for the obscure language)"toom tabard" ...(apologies for the obscure language)

"toom tabard" = "empty coat"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5524682876220396502.post-62887595298270794392008-11-30T17:24:00.000+00:002008-11-30T17:24:00.000+00:00Nick: yes, I read Archangel, quite exciting though...Nick: yes, I read Archangel, quite exciting though the denouement lost my credulity.
