Getz was always one of those performers who one could listen to all day whatever style he was playing, that cool West Coast sound stood him well over the years a giant of jazz.
ReplyDeleteWoody Herman somehow was never in the Basie Ellington league, yet his wonderful driving style that permeated through all of Woody's "herds" was a unique sound and a great band live as I had the pleasure to witness and hear many years ago when they were on tour here.
